About Phoebe Torrance
Phoebe is an established multifaceted artist working within the film & TV industry.
Her debut short film Grounds, written and directed by Phoebe in 2019 was released
in the film festival circuit by West One Entertainment and executively produced by
Lorton Entertainment, the award-winning production house behind the Amy
Winehouse documentary Amy. Grounds went on to win several awards within the
international film festival season. Currently in post production is Fifty-Four Days, a short film directed by Phoebe. Fifty-four days is a crucially important short exploring mental health, race, friendship, grief and wild swimming as a form of healing, starring world renowned actress Celia Imrie. Due for release in 2022.
Recently Phoebe was also second unit director on feature She is Love starring Haley Bennett, Sam Riley and Marisa Abela. Due for release in 2022.
Aside from Phoebe's film career, she is a
passionate and long-time advocate for mental health awareness. Phoebe has
volunteered and worked closely with the suicide prevention charity Papyrus for
many years, is an official ambassador and recently became a trustee.
